This is a beta-time FAQ. For the formal KVKK Aydınlatma Metni (the legal disclosure notice required by Türkiye Law No. 6698), see /kvkk.

1. What personal data does Kiipup collect about me and my students?

About you (the professional): name, email, optional phone number, billing details (when on a paid plan), and how you use the app (which pages, which features).

About your students: only what you choose to record — name, contact, sessions, payments, check-in notes, AI-assisted plans. Students you invite create their own accounts; what they share with you stays in your workspace.

2. Where is my data stored?

Kiipup runs on Supabase EU (Frankfurt region). Backups stay within the EU. Data does not leave the EU unless you explicitly call an AI feature — see the AI question below.

3. Who can see my workspace data?

On a personal (Free / Pro) workspace: only you. Studio members on a Team workspace can read everything in that studio — that's the point of a studio.

Messages between you and a student are private to that pair — other studio members cannot read them.

Kiipup staff can only access your workspace data when you raise a support ticket and explicitly grant access (via admin impersonation, which is audited).

4. Does the AI feature send my data to a third party?

Yes. Kiipup uses Anthropic Claude for AI features (program generation, message suggestions, briefing). Only the prompt content needed for that one call is sent — names, emails, phone numbers, and long IDs are stripped (redacted) before sending.

Anthropic processes the request and returns a response; the request is not stored on Anthropic's side beyond their standard short retention for abuse detection.

If you don't want any AI calls, you can disable AI features per workspace — every AI surface respects the toggle.

5. Is my data used to train AI models?

No. Anthropic's API terms state that customer API content is not used to train their models. Kiipup also does not train any models on your data.

6. How do I export my data?

Workspace owners can export the full workspace (students, enrollments, sessions, payments, check-ins, programs) as a single JSON file from Settings → General → Export. You get everything Kiipup stores about that workspace.

7. How do I delete my account and data?

Settings → Account → Delete account starts a 15-day soft-delete window. Your data is hidden immediately; you can restore it within 15 days by signing in.

After 15 days, the data is hard-deleted from the live database. Encrypted backups can hold copies for up to 30 more days before they roll over.

If you need an immediate hard-delete (e.g. KVKK Article 11 right to erasure), email hello@kiipup.com and we will action within 30 days.

8. What cookies does Kiipup use?

Kiipup uses session cookies (so you stay signed in), a locale cookie (your language choice), and a workspace cookie (which studio you have selected in the sidebar).

We do not use marketing trackers, ad-targeting cookies, or third-party analytics that profile individuals across sites.
